Essential Oils Test – Real Life Essential Oils
So, this morning I woke to find my sinuses clogged and a tickle in my throat. And as crazy as it may sound, I got excited to put the doTERRA Essential Oils to the test (again) and show how quickly I can eliminate the cold / flu symptoms I am experiencing.
I started simply by blowing my nose to check and make sure I wasn’t just congested from a nights sleep. Still feeling the pressure in my sinuses, I got started choosing Essential Oils.
There are several oils I wanted to get started on right away. First, a blend called On Guard. On Guard is a Protective Blend of oils containing Wild Orange, Clove Bud, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary. It is intended for Aromatic, Topical and Internal Use. Be aware when using topically, as there may be skin sensitivity.
Since I loaned out my Diffuser over the weekend (more on that later), I resolved to use the On Guard Topically, Internally and Aromatically(when possible). I started by putting a couple drops of On Guard in the palm of my hand, rubbing my hands together, then cupping my hands over my nose and taking several deep breaths. I then added a few more drops and rubbed it onto the soles of my feet. There is a very good reason for doing it this way. All of the doTERRA Essential Oils are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade meaning each batch has gone through a rigid independent testing and certification process to ensure they are 100% pure. The oils are also lipophilic, which means they are quickly absorbed by lipids (aka fat) in the body. The sole of the foot is essentially a fat pad and is also one of the most porous parts of the body. As a result, rubbing Essential Oils on the soles of the feet is one of the fastest and most effective ways to get Essential Oils into the body. Pretty Cool! I also added a couple drops of OnGuard to my water which I quickly drank and moved on to my next oils.
To further open my sinuses ( I was already feeling the benefits of the OnGuard) I opened up Breathe – Respiratory Blend. And both put 2 drops in the palm my hand, rubbed my hands together, cupped my hands over my nose and inhaled and added a couple more drops which I rubbed onto my feet. To top it off, I added a drop of peppermint to my herbal tea and inhaled the vapors before drinking it down. Keep in mind that one drop of doTERRA Peppermint is equivalent to the peppermint in 28 cups of peppermint tea. It finished opening my sinuses and since I love the smell and taste of peppermint, it was a great addition to the herbal tea.
So, here’s the plan. I’m going to continue using the oils and will update this post over the next day and let you know how it goes. I already know what the results will be, but it’s fun to put it to the test and so quickly and easily achieve amazing results.
Thanks for following along. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about these essential oils and I look forward to talking with you soon.
